Creative Phinix Phire's mystifying marvels

Phinix Phire feminine compositions

Artist and overall creative Phinix Phire caught our eye sometime ago with her distinctly vibrant and shapely style. Depicting mostly females using strong lines & unconventional color palettes, Phinix both perplexes and leaves an impression on the lucky souls who observe her work.

We were fortunate enough to get an inside look on Phinix’s personal and artistic journey.

“I got started pretty early. My father was one of the first people to introduce me to art. He influenced me to create which created the opportunity for me to be involved in my first exhibition in the third grade.”

“Following that, I joined an art club in the fourth grade and have been in love ever since. In high school, I was selected to be apart of an AP Art course and got inducted into the National Art Society.”

“Most of my inspiration stems from movements such as Surrealism, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Pop Art, and Optical Art. Some of my favorite artists include Salvor Dali, Alphonse Mucha, Jean- Micheal Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, Michelangelo, and Takashi Murakami.”

“I label myself as creative versus an artist. I tend to not tie myself to exclusive titles. My creativity outlook has no bounds. I paint, make custom clothes, dabble with makeup and styling. I typically flow with whatever I feel fits best with my mood. As of now, my painting is expressed through acrylic and gel pen.”

“I describe my style as an organic but structured. I have been working and developing this style since high school. A drawing class I took in the 10th grade ignited my obsession with contour/ line work. Further down the line in my senior year, I took up AP Art. This class pushed my creativity to the limits. One of our assignments involved making a B/W drawing. Thinking outside of the box, I decided to create the silhouette of a stripper using patterns. It turned out pretty dope. I still use it as a base for inspiration today.”

“My art is always evolving. I am constantly influenced/inspired by my surroundings. Who knows what I might be involved in next."
