MEET THE LEGEND: Tejeda

A closer look into 610's Tejeda

Lehigh Valley artist Tejeda has been building up a nice buzz in recent months, with the release of his latest EP 'COLORS OF LIFE' and we got an exclusive insight to the artist's creative life. He opened up about his growth as an artist and his plans for the future.

Q: Who are you?

A: "I am a motivated artist trying to shed light on my city (Lehigh Valley) and on myself."

Q: What does your name stand for/ name origin?

A: "My last name is Tejeda."

Q: What was it like growing up where you did and how did it influence you?

A: "I grew up in New York and that was my life until moving to Pennsylvania at 11. I did most of my growing up and learning in Bethlehem. It influenced me on a personal level as well as an artist, a lot of the songs I write are influenced by the experiences I've been through."

Q: Who are some of your artistic influences?

A: "I would say Drake, Paramore, Fabolous, and Travis Scott."

Q: When did you really start perusing music?

A: "I started to make my music summer 2016 in South Korea."

Q: How would you describe your sound and how has it evolved?

A: "I would describe my sound as very happy, melodic and overall soothing party vibes. I'd say my style is a unique combination of all the people that influence me with a twist of my flavor. My sound has evolved immensely in the terms of just quality and work ethic. I try to be diverse in my music and style."

Q: Who are your favorite local artists and who do you work with?

A: "Lately I really like this artist from Allentown called Anime Rari. As far as artists I work with there's this artist from Chicago named Coda, he's my partner in crime, I fuck with him heavy. And an artist from Bethlehem named Figgy "

Q: What sets you apart from other artists?

A: "What sets me apart from other artist's is that I actually put in the work. I put time, sweat and tears into my craft. I've dedicated my self to learning how to produce and engineer my own songs and feel I've paved my own lane and created a unique sound."

Q: What projects are you working on now? What makes it different from previous projects?

A: "I just released My second EP 9TWO7 which is like the birth of my true sound. This project is different from the previous ones I released because this project is where I really found myself, my style, Its complete confidence in this project, no doubts. And I think for the people that’s kind of been keeping up with me and my music can see that too."

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A: "Currently I'm working on a tape that speaks of the personal experiences I've been through and am currently in. The theme of love in intertwined throughout and I talk about the women I've met throughout my life so far. My goal is to make the songs relatable to any age or gender for my supporters."
