Quin Jaye - The Shape of Rap to Come
Lehigh Valley creative Quin Jaye releases dynamic project titled The Shape of Rap to Come
Lehigh Valley rapper and trumpeter Quin Jaye recently released revolutionary genre fusing project titled The Shape of Rap to Come. Blending classic hip hop and jazz with a new age twist, Quin brings a fresh sound to a scene that sometimes limits itself sonically.
The 8 track album is chock full of exciting and smooth old school inspired instrumentals, by a variety of producers, over which Quin not only raps but showcases his refined trumpet and vocal skills. His trumpeting & singing take this project to a whole new level, and truly set it apart.
Quin clearly isn't new to the game lyrically, with intense flows and inciting bars, he covers more serious topics on tracks like "Persevere", "Relevance", and "Insecurities", while keeping it lighter on tracks like "Crazy!" & "Jazz Menace".
There's also a great guitar feature by local artist Maxamilly on the "Interlude", a short, smooth instrumental that'll definitely have you hitting replay.
The Shape of Rap to Come is a testament to Jaye's sincere dedication to his craft, and an amazing addition to his musical catalouge.
If you enjoy artists like Kendrick Lamar, Blu, Shabazz Palaces or J. Cole, Quin Jaye is definitely a creative worth checking out!
